We, Boditech Med, started in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do as a start-up in 1998. And we have had a lot of growth over the past 24 years. As a local company, we believe that we should give back to the community.

Eui-Yul Choi, CEO of Boditech Med, was selected as a vice chairman of Korea Red Cross in Gangwon-do on 17th of November and he joined RCHC (Red Cross Honors Club), which includes individual donors who have given more than 100 million won (KRW), on 1st of December. Taking on social contribution positions for Gangwon-do, he emphasized that I only did what I was naturally supposed to do. In addition, he mentioned that we never forget where we began and would like to hear that Boditech Med is the top local company in Gangwon-do as we began our business here in 1998.

Eui-Yul Choi, who was born in Goseong, Gyeongsangnam-do, became a professor at Hallym University in 1992 and he has never left Chuncheon since then. He said “My daughter and son were born and went to school in Chuncheon. I would like to say Chuncheon is my second home and I love this city.”

We can see how much the CEO loves this city through the employment policy of Boditech Med. There is no doubt that Boditech Med is the No.1 company that contributes to the local community the most regarding job creation. He mentioned that we hired 70% of employees who came from Chuncheon and most of our leading directors went to Hallym University”. Boditech Med received an excellence award from Gangwon Provincial Office and won the Ministry of Employment and Labor award and the Prime Minister's Award in 2012. Also, Boditech Med was selected as the top company for job creation by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2018 and received a presidential citation from the Ministry of Employment of Labor last year.

As an educator who served as a professor in the department of Biomedical Science at Hallym University, the CEO is also an enthusiastic donator for the educational world. He mentioned that I’ve continued to donate to various organizations such as universities, high schools, and youth foundations. Chuncheon Love Connect Youth Foundation, Ministry of Justice Youth Crime Prevention Committee, Chuncheon Regional Council, Kangwon National University, and Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology are all places where the CEO delivered donations.

Boditech Med’s corporate social responsibility is not limited to South Korea, but is also reaching out to the world. Last August, Boditech Med donated 500,000 COVID-19 diagnostic kits to Haiti, designated as one of the poorest countries by the United Nations. The CEO mentioned that I decided to donate the kits after hearing about the horrific circumstances in Haiti when I went on a business trip to the Dominican Republic. Boditech Med also provides diagnostic kits for hepatitis and AIDS to Korea Medical Volunteer Corps going abroad. The CEO said, “We are trying to provide as many medical devices as we can to medical volunteers going to several countries, such as Laos, and East Timor”.

The CEO is planning to actively carry out health promotion activities for the local community as a vice chairman of the Korea Red Cross. He mentioned that “there are elderly people in Gangwon-do who can’t get proper health checkups due to inconvenient movement even if they are in good health. My goal is to take care of the marginalized people with Boditech Med’s solution by installing our diagnostic kits in each area or distributing our POCT solution to public health centers”.

He also mentioned that we will continue improving our social contribution activities along with the growth of the company and we are striving to become the global in-vitro diagnostic company with the citizens of Gangwon-do.
