Boditech Med, LAMEDITECH, 'HandyRay' Enter Global Sales Agreement

- HandyRay is the domestic unique produced laser blood collection device specialized in peripheral blood collection using laser technology in Korea.

- Expect synergy effects with Boditech Med's global sales network covering more than 120 countries.

- Accelerating entry into the medical device market alongside the release of various high-value diagnostic kits.

On the 18th, Boditech Med, 25years experienced in point-of-care diagnostics, announced that it has signed a global sales agreement, including the domestic market, for HandyRay, the domestic unique produced laser blood collection device developed by LAMEDITECH, a laser healthcare company.

HandyRay made by LAMEDITECH is a product specialized in fingerpick blood collection, using laser technology to create an instant perforation by evaporating the skin. As it does not directly penetrate the skin, there is no risk of secondary infections, and the pain that could be induced is minimized. Moreover, it has the advantage of using disposable caps, which prevent cross-contamination and blood sample contamination.

Having received recognition for its technical stability and effectiveness through various clinical trials, HandyRay passed the new medical technology evaluation in February this year. As a result, an increase in demand in the domestic market is expected. Additionally, the products were registered as medical device in U.S., Europe, and Brazil. The strong synergy effect with Boditech Med's global sales network is anticipated since the company has already secured more than 200 distributors in 120 countries worldwide.

Boditech Med and LAMEDITECH have signed a three-year global sales agreement, including the 'HandyRay Light' for personal use, 'HandyRay Pro' for professional use in hospitals and disposable consumables.

Eui-yul Choi CEO of Boditech Med, stated, "In the recently announced Q1 2023 sales, the proportion of sales from COVID-19 diagnostic products is less than 5%. Boditech Med has already laid the groundwork for sustainable growth beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to release high-value products such as ST2 (heart failure diagnostics), Free T4 (thyroid function measurement), PenKid (acute kidney injury measurement), and Vitamin D products. We are expanding our sales area in the diagnostic field and the medical device market. In January of this year, we launched the inhaled therapy device, "SyncNeb," and now we have added the innovative technology-based laser blood collection device, HandyRay, to our product lineup."
